Guernsey Alzheimers Association

The Guernsey Alzheimer's Association is devoted to "Caring for Carers" and their loved ones with dementia in Guernsey and the Bailiwick.

We run the following activities:Carers Social Afternoon on Mondays 2.00- 4.30

Golf for people with dementia at the Royal Guernsey Golf Club Tuesdays 2.00-4.00

Carers Support Group (in conjunction with the Older Adult Mental Health Team) on Wednesdays 2.00-4.00

A monthly lunch on Thursdays 11.30 -2.30

Gardening for people with dementia alternate Fridays commencing 14th August 2020 10.30-12.00

Singing Down Memory Lane on alternate Fridays 2.00-4.00

We offer help for those who need transport to the centre and a free sitting service whereby an experienced sitter will come to your home and give Carers a much needed break for a couple of hours.

A Grant Scheme can provide modest financial support for any specific needs which carers might have and we also send donations to the organization "Alzheimer's Research" and the University of Stirling Research Department with whom we correspond.
