Our mission - To help families build a secure and loving relationship with their children as a basis for a happy, healthy and productive life and to assist children to develop the skills needed to thrive and grow

Our aims

 - To help young children develop the social, emotional and regulation skills needed to thrive

 - To help children develop literacy skills

Bright Beginnings operates a Children’s Centre, which opened in 2017 in response to the 1001 Critical Days Agenda. The Children's Centre offers a range of fun, developmental activities and mental health support to families with children aged 0-5, supporting through pregnancy, birth and beyond.  Our co-located Nursery and Preschool can take up to 39 children a day. We are open all year round in both the Children's Centre and Nursery and Preschool. A number of children attend the nursery free of charge by means of a grant from ESS.

Our literacy programme trains volunteers to support children’s reading development within local mainstream primary schools. The programme enables children to develop crucial skills to become more confident and independent readers, which is essential for learning and self-esteem. They also develop a greater love and enthusiasm for reading.
