This Is EPIC exists to Empower People to Inspire Change in the lives of people, families and communities.

This Is EPIC are passionate about ending poverty for individuals and communities and this is achieved through a scheme called Village Savings and Loans. Our Village Savings and Loans projects, in their simplest form, involve training people to save and loan money within a group and empowering people to invest in their own income generating activities, which helps them to develop a more prosperous and sustainable future.

This access acts as a help up and catalyst for income generating activities for individuals, families and communities. We have seen first hand how empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills has a huge positive impact and sustainable difference in the fight against poverty.

This Is EPIC have helped to start of 800 Village Savings & Loan groups in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo with over 24,000 group members.

The team at This Is EPIC have been involved in Savings and Loans projects in Africa for over 12 years. There are over 1.3 billion people worldwide who live on less than $1.25 a day, our vision is to enable access to informal financial services for as many people as possible living in extreme poverty.
