Alderney Children's Centre

Alderney Children's Centre is a community-focused charity dedicated to supporting children and families in Alderney. Operating as an unincorporated association, the charity functions as a hub for education, family engagement, and child-centred activities. It aims to enhance the well-being of children and parents by providing learning opportunities, recreational facilities, and social support. 

The charity's core mission is to create anurturing and enriching environment for children and their families. Itsobjectives include: 

• Offering educational and advisory services to children and families.
• Acting as a community hub for family engagement, learning, and support.
•  Providing recreational activities that promote physical and creative development.
• Organising cultural enrichment events, including theatre, cinema, and festivals.
• Facilitating cooperation between Alderney and Guernsey in the delivery of social services.
• Providing parental education through workshops and accessible resources

Activities: 

Subsidised Childcare: Full time(7.30am - 5.00pm) , year round registered early years care (ages 0-5) and registered holiday club (ages 5 - 12) provided at subsidised prices. 

Educational & Advisory Support: Helping families access guidance, workshops, and developmental resources.

Family Engagement & Support: Providing a welcoming space for families to connect, learn, and receive assistance.

Recreational & Creative Activities: Offering play-based learning, physical activities, and creative workshops.

Cultural & Community Events: Hosting events such as theatre performances, cinema screenings, and seasonal festivals.

Social Services Liaison: Working with agencies in Guernsey and Alderney to ensure families receive necessary social support.
