About this Fundraising Event
Emil is best known for throwing the discus and shot put, and as one of the UK's highest-ranked throwing athletes, he's used to launching heavy objects incredible distances.
But now it's your turn to put him to the test!
For a donation, you can suggest something unusual for Emil to throw. It could be a welly boot, a lemon, a teddy bear, or almost anything safe and suitable. Each day, Emil will take one suggestion from the previous day's donations, complete the challenge, and share the video along with the fundraising page to help spread the word.
The idea is simple:
- Make a donation.
- Suggest an item for Emil to throw.
- Watch the challenge the following day.
- Share the video and fundraising page to help us reach even more people.
We'll keep the challenge going day after day until we reach our fundraising target, with every throw helping to raise awareness and vital funds for Cancer Research UK Guernsey.
Every donation, every share, and every suggestion brings us one step closer to making a difference.
So... what should Emil throw next?
When I was 11 I lost my dad to an extremely rare, and very aggressive form of leukemia. It was a hard time, for my dad, me, my family and everyone around him, and continues to affect the lives of all of us.
I'm one of many, but together we can make a difference.
The advancements in treatments and support from amazing charities just as this one help prevent the pain and grief caused by those affected. Going through or losing someone to cancer isn't something anyone should ever have to endure.
