Rotary 2026 Shoebox Appeal - Transport

Every year Rotary Guernesiais collects thousands of shoebox gifts for children in desperate need. The shoeboxes are collected and shipped (without charge) by Channel Seaways / Alderney Shipping; without whom we could not run this appeal.

Rotary Guernesiais must then pay around £900 overland road haulage from the UK port to the Shoebox consolidation depot. The money donated and affixed to the top of the box is then used to cover onward transportation to the destination countries (Montenegro, Moldovia, Romania and Ukraine).

We would be grateful for any funds to help cover the road haulage costs.

Every shoebox sent is overseen by Rotarians on the ground in the recipient countries. For many children this will be their only gift this Christmas.
