Wokingham Half Marathon - Polly Gresswell

My amazing Dad passed away on his 81st birthday in October 2026. He was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in 2020 and spent primarily the last 5-6 years of his life managing the effects of this cruel disease.
Dad spent the last 6 months of his life being cared for by the amazing staff at Le Platon Care Home. The staff built kind and supportive relationships with my Dad and also shared many laughs with him too. They helped him maintain his dignity and be as much of himself as possible.  I can’t tell you how much it means to us as a family to know he was so well looked after.
