Giving – Credits Page

giving.gg is a service provided to members of the Association of Guernsey Charities.
The website was built by volunteers and the platform is run by volunteers, so that as much as possible of what you donate gets to your chosen charity. In fact, the only charges we hope to have to make will be those of payment services providers (in our case PayPal and Barclays ePDQ). And if you pledge your donation on www.giving.gg and then pay using your own e-banking service, there will probably be nothing at all deducted from your donation, it will go to your charity in full.

So giving.gg is only possible because of the work of volunteers, and others who have provided small amounts of funding to pay for things we cannot avoid.

A big thank you therefore to:

Steve Higgins who built and maintains giving.gg .

Andy Goss who integrated giving.gg into the rest of the Association of Guernsey Charities’ web programmes, so as to enable it to be administered as efficiently as possible by the AGC.

The law firm Appleby’s, in particular Jeremy Berchem, who designed (without charge) the Deed for The Guernsey Giving Trust, which underlies giving.gg .

Zedra Trust, in particular Colin Borman, who act as Trustee (without charge) for The Guernsey Giving Trust.

TPA, in particular Tony Tostevin, who thought up the designs, images and posters for www.giving.gg (without charge).

Barclays Wealth Management, in particular Dave Bartram, who agreed to act as bankers (without charge) for The Guernsey Giving Trust, and who helped us in negotiations with Barclays ePDQ service at the lowest possible cost to The Guernsey Giving Trust.

Investec Group, Guernsey, for agreeing to pay the ongoing annual cost of hosting the Association of Guernsey Charities’ websites.

Butterfield Bank Guernsey, for agreeing to pay the initial marketing costs of www.giving.gg, so as to make as many people aware of it as possible.

Come December 2016 we will be looking for an auditor to audit the accounts of The Guernsey Giving Trust without charge(!).

And finally various Council Members of the AGC who, for the time being, will administer the website, and pay out all donations received, less any charges levied by payment services providers, to the charities nominated by the donors.
